Hi Everyone.

Sally, Chantal and I (Leslie) are getting ready to stitch the CHRH starting January 1st.

We meet every Tuesday night and stitch together, so this will be a wonderful project for us to do through out the year - we will be stitching one block a month along with everyone else.

We have all of our materials, and have laid in the blocks so that we may start on January 1st. All 3 of us are using different fabrics. Sally is using 28-count Platinum Lugana and she will stitch over 2 using DMC flosses. Chantal is using a 28-count cotton-linen fabric and she will stitch over 2 using DMC flosses. I am using a 28-count Jobelan Queen Anne's Lace and I will stitch over 2 using DMC flosses.

Chantal has a dilemma. January 1st falls on a Friday. A French Canadian superstition states that any project that is started on a Friday is doomed for failure. She will start stitching on Saturday January 2nd.

Sally, Chantal et moi-même (Leslie) sommes maintenant prêtes à commencer à broder le CHRN dès le 1ier janvier.

Tous les mardis soir, nous nous rencontrons pour broder ensemble. Ce merveilleux projet sera pour nous notre détermination et nous prévoyons pouvoir le broder au complet en 2010 avec la ferme intention de terminer un bloc par mois.

Nous avons toutes notre matériel et nous avons brodé les cadres de chaque bloc afin de commencer le 1ier janvier. Nous avons choisi des tissus différents. Sally fera le sien sur du Platinium Lugana 28 fils et elle utilisera le fil à broder DMC. Chantal utilisera un mélange de lin et coton, 28 fils et le fils à broder DMC. Quand à moi, j'ai choisi le tissu Queen Anne's Lace de Jobelan 28 fils et le fils à broder DMC.

Chantal a cependant un dilemme. Le premier janvier est un vendredi. Selon une vieille superstition canadienne-française, il n'est pas recommandé de commencer un projet le vendredi, car il sera parsemé d'embûches et les chances de terminer ce projet sont nulles. Elle commencera donc le sien samedi le 2 janvier.
